Beware! Guitar Hero III bundle may not have game!

28 10 2007

Some customers are reporting that the Guitar Hero III bundles that they have ordered do not have the game inside. This is a manufacturing problem, and Red Octane is hopefully working on it. This is not happening to all bundles.

Spore confirmed for all next-gen consoles, including Wii

27 10 2007

Will Wright, creator of the The Sims games, and the upcoming Spore, has confirmed that he considers Wii one of the real next-gen consoles, and Spore will be appearing on it soon.

“Somebody asked me what I thought next generation meant and what about the PlayStation 3 was next generation,” Wright recalled. “The only next gen system I’ve seen is the Wii – the PS3 and the Xbox 360 feel like better versions of the last, but pretty much the same game with incremental improvement.”

“But the Wii feels like a major jump – not that the graphics are more powerful, but that it hits a completely different demographic. In some sense I see the Wii as the most significant thing that’s happened, at least on the console side, in quite a while.”

This is good news for Wii and Nintendo fans. Will Wright’s studio Maxis will deliver the game to all next-gen consoles next year.

New blog?

21 10 2007

I’ve come up with a new concept for a blog. It would be about gaming, and my life. I would express my opinions more on games, everyday situations, news, and so on. Maybe it could be about tech. What do you think? I would appreciate it if you would give me some recommendations. Please comment.

Okami is coming to the Wii!!! We all knew that Okami was destined for the Wii, and here it is. Spring 2008, Okami Wii will become a reality. Clover Studios, the developer of the original Okami game, is no longer existent. Therefore, Capcom has Ready At Dawn Studios, a generally well-received developer (developed God of War: Chains of Olympus and Daxter for PSP)

As most of you know, Sonic has been confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it’s been delayed to February 10, 2008. Various sites got some hands-on time with the game (lucky 2-time gaming journalists). Here’s the video:

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass released

1 10 2007

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass just got released on Nintendo DS today. It’s one of the biggest games for the DS, being the direct sequel to Wind Waker, and it’s new touch controls aren’t optional, so you can’t use the buttons, just the touch screen. I recently played a demo of it at my local GameStop (formerly EB Games, I hate you GameStop Corp.!), and I have to say, it’s certainly not a traditional control scheme. Marking areas on your map with your stylus, drawing a path to throw your boomerang, and just walking around with the stylus can be a new experience.

It doesn’t have the best graphics, but it’s still decent, and that color scheme from Wind Waker on GameCube and the character design are excellent. You also won’t have to be bored, going out to sea. Going out on your boat should give you a few more tasks this time around. :)
